Ayurvedic Cooking + Traumatic Birth Discussion
Time & Location
About the Event
Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga, a 5,000 year old science from India that teaches how to bring balance with food and routines. Gather together with other mothers to cook grounding food that has huge emotional and mental benefits for us mothers.
We will be discussing traumatic births. Whether or not your birth was traumatic, you will have an opportunity to share your birth story with other mothers. While this is not a therapy session, it is an opportunity to gain support and connection with other mothers. We will be using the book The Fourth Trimester by Kimberly Ann Johnson as a template for this class. We are thrilled to have Lisa Vance with us at this event, a nurse practitioner midwife who provides trauma-informed care at Blackbag Family Healthcare.
